Never thought I'd do one of these, but a couple people were asking, so here it is. The lineart is basically just the head of the Sephres character sheet in my scraps redrawn with more detail. This was all done in Photoshop, in about 3 hours from (re)sketch to finish of tutorial. Writing what I did took longer than doing it, heh. I hope it helps. =D

It's a big file, so if it doesn't show up, or won't load, try download. Or let me know, I'll try to figure something out.

EDIT 10/25/07:
I keep mentioning level adjustment and color adjustment, which can both be found in the main menu. They are under image>adjustments and named 'levels' and 'color balance'. You could just copy the color layer and do it directly to that, if you wish, or have no choice (if you're in a different program). Not sure why that didn't even cross my mind. Sorry for any confusion.

I've managed to develop some mouse skills,
but it really saves a lot.. A LOT of time to use a tablet

Like the dog's design...is it from somewhere or you made it up?

D'aw I lurve your Sephres guy to pieces,I'll have to do some pictures of him some time.
Awesome tutorial! See, the problem with most tutorials is that they have too much text, not enough context. If you catch my drift hahah, You adequately described the actions to take while not rambling on about it.
Freakin corel..uuuuggghhhh......

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I was afraid I didn't explain things well enough. Since I already know those things, it's hard to tell if I get the message across well. Are you using Painter? I vaguely remember what brush settings I used in that, if you wanted to know. Low opacity, low resat, and in Painter 6 it was just airbrush, but in the later ones I think I switched to Acrylic. Water color is fun, too.

You can draw Sephres any time you want. =D

You could always just do it directly to the color layer. Just copy it first, just in case, then adjust levels and color balance from the main menu. In Photoshop, you can make both of those separate layers, but aren't you using Elements? I used to have Elements, but now I can't remember what the menus were like or what features were different.. Should still work, though. =) Thank you for the favorite, too!
